PLACES OF INTERESTS WEST BALI
This tiny and remote tourist enclave is actually one of Bali’s premier surf spots. “Snowboarding” Medewi is in fact the longest point break in Bali, a left-hander that rolls gently over black boulders and offers rides of up 200-400 meters long.
The island’s Mascot, Bali Barat (West Bali) National Park is a natural treasure. Beauty of nature that is valuable for science and knowledge. This area has a regular gradation structure between the mountain, hill, valley, bay and the open sea.
It’s definitely unique; this is a tree that has a hole in the middle of it, where the roots become a road that you can go through. The nature around this tree is magnificent. It also has Bujangga Sakti Temple as a worship temple for the Hinduism.
For this unique event buffalo’s are paired off and rigged to a wooden chariot contraption that is driven by a single jockey. It is believed to have developed in the 1920’s as a form of recreation for the local community after a successful rice harvest.
